WSKG Radio excitedly launches into a new partnership this October. For our Fall Fundraiser, WSKG will partner with Habitat for Humanity of Tompkins and Cortland Counties in order to secure materials needed to build a house in Lansing, NY and to raise funds to power programs on WSKG. For every $100 raised, Builder's Best Do-it Center will donate a 2x6 or equivalent to Habitat's Lansing project. You and WSKG, Building Together!
In other new things on WSKG Radio, a WSKG local production, Jazz in Silhouette with Scott Hollis (airing at 9:00pm), will also air on the WSQX lineup at noon on Saturdays! Tune in to hear Scott's blend of new artists, past favorites and information about jazz performances in our region. We've also got a new season of The Moth Radio Hour starting October 4th at 8:00pm. Listen for the five new episodes Monday evenings at 8:00pm on WSKG Radio. On October 12th, hear an all new, live recording of Off the Page at 7:00pm with Ronald G. Capalaces and his novel When All the Men Were Gone and a special production from The Innovation Trail at 1:00pm. We’ll talk wind turbines, pros and cons, and give you a chance to voice your opinion about wind power.
Explore livability and sustainability this October as WSKG works with Blueprint America.
